We leave two weeks from today! Here's the route we're planning to take, going 6, 8, 8, 4 hours per day, stopping for the night in Ohio, Missouri, and somewhere close to the border between Oklahoma and Texas.

Things are coming together for the move. I'm going to finalize the movers today (going with Bekins), djedi's car is all set up to magically reappear down there, etc. Wish it would just hurry up and happen now. Two weeks isn't too bad though.

We raid Karazhan again tonight! I have high hopes.

The clue solver is not going well. I rewrote it using just propositional logic (no first order logic) last night, and it still gets stuck on very simple queries. I think I may have screwed up the resolution algorithm as it deduces all sorts of unhelpful things, so I guess I'll look at that next. If all else fails I could always just do the Monte Carlo-like simulation omega697 suggested, but I'm going to be disappointed if I can't actually prove things. Oh well.

For the clue GUI I'm thinking of trying out the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) to make a spiffy interface.

Wow - I'm excited! When is last day of work up there?
Let me know if I can help you guys unpack (shelf paper? ;), put up pictures, etc etc.

The last day of work is, believe it or not, that very same Friday. Turn in badges, etc. in the morning and then start driving :-)

Will do! I'm not sure yet when our stuff will arrive, but we should hear soon.

Ooo, we might take you up on that! We'll probably not get our stuff until AFTER the weekend even though we are arriving on Monday. So that'll give us a week to paper shelves, go grocery shopping, get stuff set up and I guess play the wii. :)

Ok, I'll bite. Why on earth are you forcing your route to take the Indian Nation Turnpike instead of just taking I-44 over to I-35?

I was advised by destoyerj that that's a faster way back from Oklahoma.

My information came from skimmerduk, to be clearest. I don't really have any Oklahoma knowledge of my own.

And to be most clearest, the US-75/Indian Nations Turnpike route is only the faster way back from BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma, not necessarily anywhere else in Oklahoma. I can vouch for the stupidity of I-35 across the Texas/Oklahoma border, however. It's stupid.

Silly me - I would never have found myself in OK. I've always enjoyed the route that goes along the Natchez Trace if I'm not in a hurry. And I like the mountains in West Virginia, too, but I'm usually headed to the west end of your state rather than the east. Hope you have a great time on the road! I kinda miss the long road trips, but I think I'm starting to get a little old for them. Sad, but true. I no longer think of three hours in a rest stop as sufficient sleep.

Because that's what I did and they want to be different.

How far along in Kara are you? I figured with your crew, you'd be raiding Illidan by now...

We have 7 people who have been 70 for a while now, so we've been running heroics and all that and are well geared. The other 3 people just hit 70 pretty recently and so aren't so well geared. Anyway, Monday was our first run and we downed Attumen & Midnight, Moroes, Maiden, and Big Bad Wolf. Hoping we can do Curator tonight although it looks like a tough fight...

Okay, yes, beating half of the bosses in one night sounds about on par with your crew. My hat, as always, is off to you. Good luck with the Curator!

Hey Greg! This would be a slight deviation from your planned route, but if you guys wanted to stop in Champaign, IL, you'd be more than welcome to stay with us for the night! We're slightly north of where you're planning to go though, so it would be a little bit out of your way. But Sarah can vouch for the high quality of our accomodations. ;) Anyway, I just thought I'd throw that out there!

I can vouch for such things, especially now that I realized I'm the relevant Sarah :) Hi Laura!

Hi! Thanks a lot for the invitation, but because utility people are scheduled to show up Monday afternoon, we kind of have to hurry to make it to our apartment by then, and if I had to do it again maybe I would have postponed those appointments another day, but I guess it's too late now. So in order to keep on schedule we have to get past St. Louis before we stop the second day. Thanks anyway, though!
