This stalactite is known as the Lion's Tail. It looked like a miracle that it didn't collapse. Luckily we didn't have to walk under it!

After emerging from the Big Room, we walked a bit on a nature trail. These buildings were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps and look particularly Southwestern.

As I mentioned, there had been a wildfire a few months ago, so much of the walk was a bit depressing. This cactus did not fare well.

This awesome sign was a warning before the hike down to the cavern from the surface, which is over a mile and 750 feet(!) down. We took the elevator instead.

This sign was next to it. It was confusing - by "official cavern guides", does it mean "official cavern audiotours"? That aside, the headphones really added to the sign :-)

The museum had many exhibits, including this replica of the radio station where an announcement about the Roswell crash was made.

As we were walking through the museum, suddenly we heard a noise and this scene came to life! After the smoke started coming out I ran to get my picture taken with it :-)
