  • Summary: So the Road to Hana(TM) is quite an adventure. There are 46 one lane bridges, meaning that you have to wait if someone's on the other side. Also, there are 620 curves on it, making the experience somewhat nauseating.

  • Summary: Apparently there was a landslide a few weeks before - you can see it past the truck. They're still cleaning up from it, so we had to park and wait for 25 minutes to pass through.

  • Summary: We arrived at Hana and ate by this beach. There we learned my Hawaiian name is Maka'ala and David's is Hiwahiwa or Kawika.

  • Summary: After lunch it was time for the helicopter ride back. Unfortunately, my camera batteries were running very low, so the following shots were chosen with care. Here's the US flag side by side with the Hawaiian state flag.
